Build Resilience and Wellbeing

Workplace Wellbeing Programs

Delivering meaningful workplace wellbeing assessments, programs and workshops

Why focus on employee wellbeing?

Psychological injuries are a becoming the most significant risk for workplaces and a growing concern for employers. With approximately 1 in 5 Australian adults experiencing a common mental illness each year, mental health awareness and supporting the wellbeing of employees is vitally important.

Workplaces are used to, and in many cases, successful in their physical health and safety policy areas.

It’s time to bring the same level of commitment to employee mental wellness.

It's good for your people and it's good for business

Healthy workplaces promote employee mental health and wellbeing – through initiatives such as health and wellbeing strategies, plans, programs and activities. They are positive and productive and get the best out of everyone in the workplace. Organisations that care about good mental health and wellbeing attract and keep top talent because they’re great places to work.

How can Michelle help you?

We offer Workplace Wellbeing Programs that can be tailored to meet your needs. Choose one workshop or course or talk to us about a tailored package for your organisation. We also offer an evidence-based wellbeing assessment that helps individuals and organisations be the best they can be – providing detailed insights about teams and even entire organisations.

In addition to Mental Health First Aid Training, we can customise a program which can include the following employee wellbeing initiatives:

The best starting point for Workplace Wellbeing is understanding where your organisation and people are at in relation to wellbeing. We should know this before we start to implement strategies, plans and initiatives around wellbeing so we’re sure we’re providing support in the right areas.

Michelle is accredited to provide an evidence-based wellbeing assessment that helps individuals and workforces be the best they can be. This assessment has been developed by a team of innovators, scientists and psychology experts who are passionate about helping individuals and organisations thrive and lays the foundations for immense individual and collective growth. What’s more, it’s secure, ethical and customisable, meaning you can tailor it to your desired personal or business outcomes.

Unlike many other surveys and assessments we ask of our employees, this one is unique in that it provides each participating individual with their own personal and confidential Wellbeing Assessment – allowing them to accurately identify areas in which they are thriving and areas in which they may need support. Team (or entire organisation) reports are also provided, and these help to understand the status quo, and provide strategies around building an environment that increases engagement, productivity, innovation, and builds a culture of overall wellbeing.

Individuals and teams (or entire organisations) receive an in-depth analysis of wellbeing, measured in four areas; global wellbeing, life satisfaction, workplace wellbeing and component wellbeing. What’s more, and also unique in this space, is the ability to undertake the assessment on a regular basis so you can monitor wellbeing over time. It’s a great starting point for an organisation.

Under Australian Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation employers must take steps to protect workers against risks to their physical and mental health. Beyond meeting this obligation, organisations that focus on promoting and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of their staff see better productivity, as well as greater staff engagement, recruitment and retention.

To work at their best and contribute to the success of their organisation, the health and wellbeing of staff is crucial. When staff aren’t feeling their best, they can’t work at their best.

Worthwhile initiative – but where do you start?

Our Workplace Wellbeing Program and Planning services offer practical, step-by-step guidance for organisations to develop and implement a tailored mental health and wellbeing/wellness strategy for their staff, supporting organisation-wide change toward a culture of positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Our Workplace Wellbeing services include:

  • Wellbeing Assessments – before embarking on any initiatives, find out where you need to focus with an evidence-based wellbeing assessment across teams or the entire organisation.
  • Wellbeing Program/Strategy/Policy development – in conjunction with your leaders and teams – we can lead, or we can facilitate.
  • Wellbeing Program/Strategy reviews – already have a Program/Strategy and want to see how it’s faring?
  • Implementation planning – want support in how to implement the ideas and actions from your Program/Strategy?

This 8-session program is designed to walk you through everything you need to fully understand mindfulness and experience the profound effects it can have on your life. The program consists of group workshops held weekly or fortnightly over Zoom/Teams. There will be homework and exercises for you to practice at home, and there is an optional accountability group where additional inspiration will be shared to keep you motivated and supported throughout the program.

Research has shown that people who are more mindful are generally happier and report less anxiety, symptoms of depression, anger, and worries. A higher degree of mindfulness is also associated with reduced stress and increased gratitude, hope, and vitality. So if practicing mindfulness holds such powerful potential for our wellbeing, why aren’t we all doing it every day? The reason is often that we need more guidance and support than simply downloading an app. We need to better understand the underlying processes and research behind mindfulness.

What will you learn?

  • One deep- dive into a specific element of mindfulness per session
  • Information and practice integrated with research and evidence
  • Small, informal practices that help weave mindfulness into your daily routine
  • An examination of mindfulness in the broader context of life and how we perceive things
  • Understanding the foundation of psychological processes that mindfulness rests upon
  • A community of fellow participants
